The Sri Lankan Chapter of the Entrepreneur’s Organisation (EO), the world’s largest peer-to-peer network of entrepreneurs, is inviting young Sri Lankan entrepreneurs to seize the opportunity to enhance their knowledge and elevate their business ventures by entering the Global Student Entrepreneur Awards (GSEA) 2022-2023 competition season.
The GSEA is the premier global competition for students who own and operate a business while attending college or university. The competition helps budding entrepreneurs unlock their full potential as they embark on their entrepreneurial journeys and build their ventures. Nominees compete against their peers from around the world in a series of local and national competitions in the hope of qualifying for the Global Finals.

During the event, they are able to establish life-changing connections and engage in peer-to-peer learning. All nominees must be enrolled in an undergraduate programme at a recognised college or university, own a business that has been operational for a minimum of six consecutive months and be principally responsible for the operation of the company at the time of the application.

Expressing his views on the GSEA, GSEA Chair Shanjeeve Sriskandaraja stated, “GSEA Sri Lanka is an incredible way for EO Sri Lanka to harness the next generation of entrepreneurs by providing them mentorship and a platform for their business to reach the next level and even go global. During the competitions, they get the chance to network with their peers from around the world and learn from entrepreneurs who have been in their shoes. They can compete through local and national competitions to win their shot at going head-to-head against the best student entrepreneurs in the world. They may even have a chance to compete against the world’s best student entrepreneurs at the GSEA Global Finals.”
