Honeywell International SARL has won a US$ 15.3 million contract to repair Honeywell Auxiliary Power Units (APUs) of SriLankan Airline’s fleet.
Minister of Ports, Shipping and Aviation Nimal Siripala De Silva on Monday sought the approval of the Cabinet of Ministers to award the contract to Honeywell International based on the recommendations of the Cabinet-appointed technical evaluation committee and the standing procurement committee.
The Department of Government Information noted that three bids were received after the national carrier called for limited international competitive bids to repair Honeywell APUs in its fleet.

Among them, Honeywell International SARL submitted the minimum price quotation for an estimated sum of US$ 15.3 million for a two-year period.
