Hunas Falls Hotels to undergo US $ 12mn facelift

  • Inks agreement for refurbishment with BOI

Hunas Falls Hotels (Pvt.) Ltd is slated to receive a major facelift to improve its product and service offering, as plans are firmed up for the property to undergo refurbishment.

In a filing to the Colombo Stock Exchange (CSE) yesterday, Hunas Holdings PLC, which fully owns Hunas Falls Hotels, announced it has inked an agreement with the Board of Investment (BOI) for the refurbishment.

The filing stated that the investment value for the refurbishment would be US $ 12 million. The property upliftment is scheduled to be carried out over a time frame of 20 months.

The announcement did not share the details on the starting date of the refurbishment.

Earlier in April this year, Hunas Holdings PLC announced that it has entered into a landmark partnership with Azotels to manage and develop Hunas Falls Hotels.

The partnership will see Azotels developing the multi-generational popular Hunas Falls Hotel into a highend luxury hotel with villas, in addition to managing the property
