India’s U-Solar wins US$ 11mn contract to supply power to Jaffna Peninsula islets

India’s U-Solar Clean Energy Solutions has bagged a US$ 11 million contract to supply electricity to the residents of Delft, Nainathivu, and Analathivu islets in the Jaffna peninsula.
The contract is being awarded subsequent to the authorisation by the Indian government of a US$ 11 million grant, dedicated to providing electricity to the residents of Delft, Nainathivu, and Analathivu islets in the Jaffna peninsula.
Bids have been exclusively invited from Indian contractors to execute the project in accordance with the conditions outlined in the memorandum of understanding.
Granting the contract to U-Solar Clean Energy Solutions aligns with the recommendations provided by the standing procurement committee appointed by the Cabinet of Ministers.
