Indices close in green

The ASPI closed in green as a result of price gains in counters such as Commercial Bank, ACL Cables and Hatton National Bank with the turnover crossing Rs. 5.8 bn. 
A similar behaviour was witnessed in the S&P SL20. Crossings were witnessed in Expolanka Holdings, Commercial Bank, Central Finance Company accounting for 45.2% of the turnover. 
Mixed interest was observed in Lanka IOC, ACL Cables and First Capital Treasuries whilst retail interest was noted in SMB Leasing nonvoting, Browns Investments and First Capital Holdings. 


Furthermore, foreigners remained active closing as net buyers. Transportation sector was the top contributor to the market turnover (due to Expolanka Holdings) whilst the sector index gained 0.44%. The share price of Expolanka Holdings increased by Rs. 1.00 (0.45%) to close at Rs. 224.75.  Capital Goods sector was the second highest contributor to the market turnover (due to ACL Cables) whilst the sector index decreased by 0.35%. The share price of ACL Cables moved up by Rs. 10.25 (9.56%) to close at Rs. 117.50. Lanka IOC, Commercial Bank and First Capital Holdings were also included amongst the top turnover contributors. 


The share price of Lanka IOC gained Rs. 2.50 (0.88%) to close at Rs. 287.00. The share price of Commercial Bank recorded a gain of Rs. 2.40 (4.60%) to close at Rs. 54.60. The share price of First Capital Holdings appreciated by Rs. 1.40 (8.54%) to close at Rs. 17.80.
