Island Tea Co. & Ceylon Coffee Club is owned and operated by Ceylanka Trading Inc., a registered company under the Securities and Exchange Commission of Philippines.
Ceylanka Trading Inc. operates the largest network of Pure Ceylon Tea & Coffee cafes, with over 140+ branches across the Philippines, Dubai and Sri Lanka, with openings planned in India and Ireland in the third and fourth quarters of 2023.

The company recently signed a master franchise agreement for Sri Lanka with Silk Five Limited Sri Lanka, with the aim of opening 100 new branches in five years across Sri Lanka, which will mark a significant presence for the retail chain in Sri Lanka.
The agreement was entered into by Ceylanka Trading Inc. Philippines Director/Chief Business Officer Minodh de Sylva. Dr. Chinthaka Prasad and Dr. Asela Panditha signed on behalf of Silk Five Limited, the master franchise awardees for Sri Lanka.

Whilst the company opened its first branch in Sri Lanka on May 4, 2023, along with the recent collaboration, it hopes to open 20 branches per year for the next five years in the Western province and other key cities and provinces across Sri Lanka.

“Our main aim is to open five or six more branches within 2023, targeting the Colombo, Kandy, Negombo and Ella areas,” said Dr. Prasad.
“The company has already commenced construction and plans to open its second branch in Sri Lanka at Colombo City Centre, the premier lifestyle mall in Sri Lanka by September 2023,” added de Sylva.

Island Tea Co. & Ceylon Coffee Club will feature more than 100 beverage options from iced milk teas, fruit teas, cream cheese milk teas, brown sugar teas, iced cream tea shakes along with an Oreo and Nutella range, whereas the coffee lovers can look forward to a range of lattes, over iced drinks and frappes, all made exclusively from Pure Ceylon Tea & Coffee Beans, creating novel recipes that are popular globally.
“We can confidently say that our offering to the Sri Lankan market would be one of a kind and something currently not offered by any other retail player in the market,” added Dr. Panditha.
