In an effort to empower the education system and support the promising future of Sri Lanka’s children, the LOLC Group inaugurated ’Divi Saviya’ in February 2023. This ambitious initiative seeks to provide essential school supplies to the most deserving schools and students across the nation, fostering an environment conducive to learning and growth.
The programme, aptly named ‘Daye Daruwange Anagathaya Wenuwen’ (for the future of the children), aims to meet the yearly requirements of school children from grades 1 to 13, including exercise books, school bags, pens, pencils, colour boxes, mathematic toolboxes, and other essential stationery items.
Through this noble effort, the LOLC Group is committed to alleviating the financial burden faced by many families in providing school requirements of children and enabling students to focus on their studies wholeheartedly.

The initial phase of the project achieved remarkable success, reaching all 1,390 schools with student populations ranging from 1 to 50, covering every corner of the island. Now, as Divi Saviya, enters its second phase, it aspires to make an even more significant impact by extending its reach to 1,512 schools with student populations ranging from 51 to 100.
Over a course of five months, the project aims to distribute an impressive 108,731 packages of school supplies, spanning across all 25 districts of Sri Lanka, with a total investment of Rs. 1.5 billion.
The launch event for LOLC Divi Saviya, Phase 02, held at St. Lazarus College, Kurukulawa, on 2nd August was graced by the presence of Susil Premajayantha, Minister of Education, and Kithsiri Gunawardena, Chief Operating Officer of LOLC Holdings PLC.
