Moo-ving forward

Ambewela Farm, located in Nuwara Eliya is one of the largest and most modern dairy farms in Sri Lanka, known for its state-of-the-art facilities and practices that ensure the health and well-being of its cows, as well as the high quality of its dairy products.
The farm aims to increase its daily milk production to 52,000 litres by the end of this year, a 30 percent increase from approximately 40,000 litres average daily production in 2022. 
Plans are underway to help the farm reach an annual production capacity of 20 million litres, which will be driven by the development of high-quality dairy cow breeds and the automation of all livestock management activities.
