Moratuwa Uni advances to Huawei ICT Competition Global Finals

Huawei Sri Lanka announced that a team from the University of Moratuwa has successfully advanced to the Huawei ICT Competition 2023–2024 Global Finals and Regional Award Ceremony of Huawei ICT Competition 2023-2024. 
This marks a historic moment as it is the first time a team from Sri Lanka will represent the country in the Huawei Asia Pacific finals of the competition.
The University of Moratuwa team showcased exceptional skills and expertise in the Cloud Track of Regional Huawei ICT Competition 2024, earning them a coveted spot in the Asia Pacific Finals and Award Ceremony, which will be held in Indonesia. The final ranking of the team will be announced during the awards ceremony.

Huawei Enterprise Business Group Vice President Ni Xiaopeng expressed his delight at the University of Moratuwa team’s advancement to the Asia Pacific Finals. He emphasised that this accomplishment is evidence to the collaborative efforts of students, educators and the broader educational ecosystem. Additionally, he highlighted the exceptional talent and dedication showcased by the students as well as the supportive educational environment provided by the University of Moratuwa and Sri Lanka as a whole.
