People’s Bank remittance draw selects 7th millionaire

The seventh millionaire of the People’s Remittance ‘Vaasi Kotiyai, Ewannai Dinannai’ draw was selected for the month of August along with daily and weekly winners for the period of August 16 to September 19, 2022. 
This event was held at the People’s Bank, Overseas Customer Services premises in Colombo 10, recently.
People’s Bank launched People’s Remittance Vaasi Kotiyayi draw from February 1, 2022, to motivate Sri Lankan migrant workers who work tirelessly to strengthen the country’s economy.

Under this promotion, the grand draw winner, who will be selected at the year-end, will be presented with a grand prize of Rs.10 million. Additionally, the Rs.1 million monthly winner is selected every month, while 22K gold sovereign weekly winners and Rs.10,000 daily cash prize winners will be selected 48 times and 334 times, respectively until December 31, 2022. All inward worker remittances sent through People’s Bank to all People’s Bank accounts, other bank accounts are eligible for the draw. Further, the remittances collected over the counter at People’s Bank branches, including remittances sent via WU, Ria or similar channels during the period from February 1 to December 31, 2022, are too eligible for the draw. The customers can also increase their chances of winning by remitting more money.
