Prabhash Subasinghe resgins from SDB board

Prabhash Subasinghe has resigned from the director board of SDB bank PLC with effect from December 31, 2022.
A filing to the Colombo Stock Exchange did not give out any reasons for Subasinghe’s sudden resignation.

Subasinghe and his investment vehicle Ayenka Holdings hold around 12 percent stake in SDB bank as its second largest shareholder.
Subasinghe was appointed to the SDB board as a non-independent, non-executive director in June 2017.
Subasinghe is the Managing Director of Global Rubber Industries, a manufacturer of high-performance specialty tyres selling to over 50 countries.  He is also the Managing Director of Global Sea Foods Ltd., which exports high-quality seafood.
