The Central Bank of Sri Lanka (CBSL) called on for public help to identify those carrying out unauthorized foreign currency dealings.

In a notice released today, the CBSL said the public should inform Foreign Exchange Department if they are aware of any such dealings.

It stressed that permission to buy, sell and exchange foreign currency in Sri Lanka is granted only to authorized dealers and money changers appointed by the financial sector regulator.
