Tourists who have received the required dosage of COVID-19 vaccination will be able to spend more time exploring Sri Lanka according to the latest revision of quarantine measures by the Ministry of Health (MoH).

The MoH has announced that tourists who have received the jab, minimum two weeks before arrival, will spend only seven days in a Tire 1 hotel, as opposed to the previous requirement of having to spend 14 days.

During the seven-day quarantine, after a negative PCR result on arrival, tourists will be able to travel under the bio-bubble.

However, for non-vaccinated tourists, the previous guideline of 14 days mandatory quarantine, still applies.

According to the new guidelines, tourists are required to obtain Foreign Ministry and Sri Lanka Tourism approval to enter the country and on arrival must submit their health declaration document at the airport.
