Senfin Securities appoints Dasun Perera as Chief Executive Officer

Senfin Securities Limited has announced the appointment of Dasun Perera as Chief Executive Officer, with effect from January 1, 2024. 
Senfin Securities Limited is an affiliate of the Senkadagala Finance PLC, a trading member of the Colombo Stock Exchange and is licensed by the Securities and Exchange Commission of Sri Lanka.   
Perera brings over nine years of diverse public and private sector experience spanning portfolio management, buy side research and capital markets. 


Prior to this appointment, Perera was appointed as Deputy Chief Investment Officer of Senkadagala Finance PLC (SFCL). SFCL is a listed entity at the Colombo Stock Exchange and is approved and registered under Finance Business Act No. 42 of 2011 and Finance Leasing Act No. 56 of 2000.   
With foundational experience in research analysis at NDB Wealth Management, which is one of the largest private sector asset management companies in Sri Lanka, he progressively established a broad and deep insight into local markets and investment management strategy. He was also responsible for managing unit trust funds and discretionary private portfolios for institutional clients at JB Financial (Pvt.) Ltd and Senfin Asset Management (Pvt.) Ltd. 


He gained capital market development and regulatory policy exposure at the Securities and Exchange Commission of Sri Lanka, where he collaboratively implemented several tactical initiatives comprising the Strategic Capital Market Development programme and Financial Sector Modernization programme in Sri Lanka. 
His postgraduate placement experience spans two dynamic European investment firms the Inspiration Group, Germany, specialising in value add and core residential and commercial real estate and BlackRock, UK, a leading provider of investment, advisory and risk management solutions, which is the world’s largest asset manager. 
Perera is a CFA Charter holder and completed his Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Delhi, with a First Class. He also holds a Master of Finance (MFin) from the Judge Business School, University of Cambridge.
