Sri Lanka will showcase its investment opportunities to the world come November by hosting the ‘Invest Sri Lanka' Investor Forum in Dubai, UAE.
The event, organized by the Securities and Exchange Commission of Sri Lanka (SEC) and Colombo Stock Exchange (CSE), will be held on 5 November at the Sheraton Grand Hotel, Dubai.
The forum aims to promote foreign investment in the Sri Lankan Stock Market and to showcase investment opportunities in leading Sri Lankan listed companies.
Similar forum, focusing in the investment opportunities in the Sri Lankan capital markets, have been held previously in key foreign markets such as the UK, USA, Australia, New Zealand, UAE, India, Switzerland, Hong Kong and Singapore.
The 2021 edition will promote the investment opportunities in the Colombo bourse in Dubai, UAE, while also showcasing the potential to investors of other nations.
The upcoming event is facilitated with the members of the CSE, SEC, trading members, stockbroker firms, the Embassy of Sri Lanka, Abu Dhabi, and the Consulate General of Sri Lanka to Dubai and Northern Emirates to make a collective case on promoting Sri Lanka as an attractive investment destination.
Invest Sri Lanka Forum Dubai is expected to attract investor interest, encompassing Sri Lankans living in Dubai and the event will provide comprehensive showcase opportunities in the island nation.
The event will feature Central Bank of Sri Lanka (CBSL) Governor Ajith Nivard Cabraal as the keynote speaker.
The SEC and the CSE, promoting the event stated that post-Covid-19 Sri Lanka remains focused and committed to stabilizing and re-orienting the economy, and to ensure that the nation is on a path towards meaningful and sustainable growth.
“Sri Lanka is committed to forging ahead with our reform agenda and our bid to develop into a strong, stable, and resilient economy, and an attractive place to do business,” the CSE and SEC said.
