Uber One to elevate value proposition to loyal customers with exclusive perks and offers

Uber One was successfully launched in Sri Lanka recently, making it the first South Asian market to roll out Uber’s exclusive global membership programme. Uber One enhances Uber’s value proposition for loyal customers by offering various discounts and exclusive experiences across the platform. It also demonstrates Uber’s commitment to providing convenient and efficient services to Sri Lankans and replicating Uber One’s global success in this market.

By joining Uber One, users can expect to save money on rides, receive priority access to benefits and incentives and enjoy a seamless and rewarding experience. Thanushika Sivanathan, Country Manager – Uber Rides Sri Lanka, expressed confidence saying, “It’s been a successful programme globally, and we are very confident that it will be successful here.”
To subscribe Uber One, users in Sri Lanka can follow the simple steps available on Uber or Uber Eats. Membership is initially available for a one-month free trial, and will then cost Rs. 599 per month or an annual price of Rs. 5,999.

Uber customers in Sri Lanka can save a minimum of Rs. 1,000 per month through Uber One, with some even saving up to Rs. 2,000-3,000 per month, based on higher-than-average usage. These savings are trackable on the platform, ensuring transparency.

The membership program offers 5 percent Uber Credits for each Uber ride, which can be utilized on any Uber product, including future rides or Eats orders. Additionally, customers receive free Uber delivery for each Uber Eats order. Uber One members also gain exclusive access to special offers, promotions, invite-only experiences, and prioritized support.
Uber One users will receive exclusive perks, such as a 10 percent offer on Uber Premier trips. Similar exciting offers will be rolled out on a monthly or bi-weekly basis. These members will also be paired with top-rated drivers, ensuring a delightful experience. They will also have exclusive access to the live chat function for support.
Moreover, Uber One members will receive Rs. 450 in Uber credits on eligible deliveries if the ‘latest arrival estimate’ is not met, which can be redeemed on future
orders or rides.

Since entering the Sri Lankan market, Uber has expanded its product portfolio and geographic reach through continuous investments. With over 2.5 million customers served through Uber rides and over 24 million deliveries completed through Uber Eats, the company has made a significant contribution to employment generation and the overall economy, with a record 150,000 driver partners onboarded.
