Union Assurance celebrates legends at Distribution Annual Awards

In a splendid celebration under the exalted theme ‘League of Legacy’, Union Assurance hosted its Annual Awards 2022 for the Agency Distribution Channel, to honor the outstanding achievers. 
The memorable event unfolded at the Monarch Imperial on July 4th, 2023. The gathering was graced by distinguished luminaries, including the esteemed Chairperson of John Keells Holdings, Krishan Balendra, President – Financial Services Sector/ IT Sector and Leisure Industry Group - John Keells Holdings, Suresh Rajendra, CEO of Union Assurance, Jude Gomes, among other officials.
Top achievers were recognized and rewarded at the awards ceremony, under the Bronze, Silver, Gold, Diamond, Platinum, and Top Awards categories with over 400 award recipients.
The Ultimate Champion at the event was Chanaka Appuhamy from the Chilaw Region, while Upul Priyantha from the Kirulapona Region emerged as the National New Business Champion. The Best Region award was clinched by the Chilaw Region. The Best Zone (Small to Medium Category) was won by Southern 3 Zone, while the Best Zone (Large Category) was won by Metro City 1 Zone. The Best Cluster award (Small to Medium Category) went to Cluster 4.
 
During the event, the CEO of Union Assurance, Jude Gomes, took the stage to commend the top performers for their exceptional achievements. With pride, he highlighted that theincreasing number of award winners is a testament to the company’s remarkable performance throughout 2022.  “The success of Union Assurance has been driven by its team. Collectively, Union Assurance have been able to transform the company across the board, from product innovation, service excellence to having an ambitious digital vision. We achieved stellar business growth last year, surpassing numerous key performance indicators, repositioning the company among the fastest growing Life Insurers in Sri Lanka,” he stated.
The Deputy CEO of Union Assurance, Senath Jayatilake, praised the entire team for their unwavering commitment and professionalism. Despite facing challenging economic conditions, the team’s relentless dedication and commitment to service excellence shone through, delivering brilliant results. “Their performance helped the company become the second largest regular new business producer in Sri Lanka,” he added.
 
With a perfect blend of excitement, fun, and celebration, the event exuded an atmosphere of joyous camaraderie, fostering team spirit and inspiring a sense of excellence among all attendees.
