Union Bank Walk & Win gets overwhelming employee participation

The Union Bank Sports Club, in its endeavours to uplift employee motivation and wellness, initiated the innovative Walk & Win virtual steps challenge for staff during the month of September 2022.  
This initiative was digitally supported through a wellness app. The challenge required a target of 945,000 steps to be covered over a period of 21 days and to be achieved by a five-member team to be eligible for a tie breaker quiz. Ninety-eight teams across the bank network enthusiastically took to the challenge with nine teams entering the final round to reach the winning moment subsequent the tie breaker quiz.


Five winning teams were selected and awarded cash prizes. IAD Jolly Walkers comprising of members from the Internal Audit and Retail (Pawning) departments achieved the first place and walked away with a Rs.100,000 cash reward. 
The Sports Club of Union Bank actively conducts several initiatives throughout the year to enhance employee well-being and comradeship.  The Walk & Win virtual steps challenge was yet another successful initiative conducted by the Union Bank Sport Club for employee engagement and supported to uplift employee morale.
