Virtusa Chairman and CEO Kris Canekeratne to exit after 25-year stint

Global business consulting and IT outsourcing company, Virtusa Corporation will see its chief Kris Canekeratne pass on the leadership baton to two new heads this summer, ending a 25 year run with the company.

Canekeratne, also one of the four co-founders, ends his stint with the company after successfully bringing the IT service provider to US $ 1.3 billion in sales over the past quarter century.

Canekeratne, who served as Chairman and CEO, will exit both the roles by 30 June. The move comes after Virtusa was acquired by Baring Private Equity Asia (BPEA) for US $ 2 billion.
