WindForce’s 15 MW wind power plant in Mannar inaugurated

Hiruras Wind Power Plant of WindForce PLC was inaugurated by Power and Energy Minister Kanchana Wijesekera, on August 06, in Mannar.
Notable attendees included State Minister Indika Anuruddha, Power Ministry officials, Ceylon Electricity Board representatives and Sustainable Energy Authority and other local government officials, emphasising the collaborative effort towards a greener future.
With a total capacity of 15 MW across two phases, the project reflected dedication in harnessing clean energy sources.
The first 10 MW phase began operations on June 12, 2023, followed by the 5 MW second phase on July 21, 2023, showcasing the company’s unwavering commitment to sustainability.
