Dehiwala Zoo celebrates 88th anniversary

The Dehiwala Zoological Department celebrates its 88th anniversary today. Founded in 1936, the zoo held several prize-giving events for children who submitted drawings for the occasion. A ceremonial cake was cut and shared with a lion cub. Pix by Nisal Baduge.
