A joint operation in search of hidden rice stocks was carried out by the Consumer Affairs Authority and the Police in Colombo where 14,000 kilos of rice were discovered. Colombo Government Agent Pradeep Yasaratne, Consumer Affairs Authority's Chairman Retired Maj. Gen.
