A protest was held at the Agitation Site near Galle Face Green by a group of individuals who were eligible for the Korean E8 visa, which provides seasonal employment in Korea's agriculture and fisheries sectors for about five months. However, the Korean Embassy has deemed the existing agreement regarding these jobs, signed in the past, to be illegal, resulting in its rejection. The protesters claimed that inefficiencies within the Sri Lanka Foreign Employment Bureau (SLFEB) are jeopardizing hard-won employment opportunities for Sri Lankans in South Korea. The protesters also claimed that the E8 visa received for 67 individuals are expire by November 26. Pix by Kithsiri de Mel
