Lawyers' Collective holds media conference...

The Lawyers' Collective held a media conference in Colombo today, where former BASL Presidents Saliya Peiris, Upul Jayasuriya, MP M. S. Sumanthiuran, and former MP Jayampathi Wickramaratne participated together with scores of lawyers. The Collective called for the postponement of the proposed Anti-Terrorism Bill and the Online Safety Bill, as they are perceived to be draconian laws. Pix by Pradeep Pathirana
