Sri Lankan all-rounder Asela Gunaratne is going to be a part of the defending champions Dhaka Dynamites for the upcoming season of Bangladesh Premier League (BPL).
Though the Dhaka Dynamites authority haven’t yet officially confirmed the inclusion of the Sri Lankan, but they have posted a photo with the letters of Gunaratne’s name in an unarranged order.
Once into the national side, this all-rounder made an instant impact in the longer format with a fifty on debut and followed it up with a century in the next game. In the T20 series in Australia, he notched up back to back half-centuries to seal the series.
The 31-year-old cricketer has so far featured in 4 Tests, 16 ODIs and 9 T20Is for the Sri Lankan national side.
Earlier Dhaka Dynamites had also roped in the likes of Shahid Afridi, Mohammad Amir, Shane Watson, Sunil Narine while retained Kumar Sangakkara for the upcoming season of BPL.
This year, the T20 tournament, whose place just after the Indian Premier League (IPL) in terms of popularity and media coverage, is scheduled to kick-start on November 4 with the participation of the highest number of eight franchisee-based teams.
