Sri Lanka Under-19 recorded a three-wicket win over Pakistan Under-19 to make it 2-2 in the five-match limited-over series played at the National Bank Stadium, Karachi, yesterday.

Put into bat, Pakistan U-19 were comfortably placed at 113 for the loss of one wicket.

A second wicket stand of 93 between Shahzaib Khan (80) and skipper Saaf Baig (45) placed the young Lankans in a spot bother, but with the exit of Baig, wickets fell in regular intervals, with leg-spinner Malshan Tharupathi doing the damage to claim 4/17 in six overs. He was well supported by Ravishan Perera (2/34) along with Vihas Thewmika, Dinura Kalupahana, and Vihan Halambage, who picked up one wicket each, to dismiss Pakistan U-19 for 186 in 43.1 overs.

In reply, a 5th wicket partnership of 84 runs by Rusinda Gamage (46) and Dinura Kalupahana (61) compiled in 77 deliveries, including five fours and a six, and a 6th wicket partnership by Kalapahana and S. Shanmuganathan (17), helped Sri Lanka U-19 reach the target of 186 in 40.4 overs quite comfortably. (LR)
