As of June 6, Abans Service performed an extensive corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiative that offered free services to communities residing in areas which had incurred adverse conditions due to the past torrential floods
and mudslides.
Having provided humanitarian relief in a vast variety of areas such as Kaduwela, Dodangoda, Kamburupitiya, Ratnapura and so forth, Abans Service successfully completed its free service campaign on June 24.
Abans Service sent across more than eight mobile service vans to these regions to conduct free services for affected homeowners. In a bid to help flood-afflicted individuals get back on their feet, highly qualified Abans Service technicians performed free services, repairs and inspection for a wide diversity of flood-damaged appliances including refrigerators, washing machines, TV sets, cookers and more.
Plus, using bowsers equipped with high pressure water guns, employees from Abans Environmental Services steadily worked to remove debris and waste materials scattered by flood-water and clean up several public spaces such as hospitals, police stations and schools. Abans Environmental Services has also offered personal clean-up services free-of-charge to homeowners who have been affected by the floods.
By conducting the free service campaign, Abans Service has already made a noteworthy difference in flood-affected regions. Residents in these areas were able to get their homes rendered both liveable and usable, and receive free services for their flood-damaged appliances. Abans Service has also made significant progress in assuaging the effects of the devastating floods and mudslides on several communities as well as spearhead the process of recovery and rehabilitation.
