Colombo South Acupuncture Clinic opens doors to patients

Colombo South Acupuncture Clinic was opened on January 29, 2016, at No: 35/1, 1/1, Jayasevana Mawatha, Kalubowila, Dehiwala.


Former acupuncture physician, Medicine Alternativa at Colombo South Government General Teaching Hospital, Kalubowila, Dr. Prabath Mudugama, would be treating a range of illnesses at the clinic. 
Acupuncture is a system of medicine which originated from China. The word acupuncture came to being in the late 17th century, combining the Latin word ‘acu’, meaning with a needle, with the English word ‘puncture’. As the name indicates, acupuncture involves inserting sharp, sterilized needles to the body, balancing the internal energy of the patient.
