Browns-Animal SOS join hands for a rabies-free Sri Lanka

Brown & Company PLC’s veterinary pharmaceutical sector recently joined hands with Animal SOS Sri Lanka towards creating a rabies-free country.
Animal SOS Sri Lanka is a charity programme that attends to the welfare of street animals. It conducts weekly outreach programmes in a variety of areas providing health checks, sterilization and vaccination of cats and dogs against rabies, worming and other anti-parasitic treatments, treatment of wounds, tumours, infections and skin conditions. 

Browns will be providing free rabies vaccinations for these outreach programmes, while also providing printed educational material as well as food samples.
Speaking on the initiative undertaken, Brown & Company PLC Veterinary Pharmaceuticals Division General Manager Mangala Wijesinghe stated, “We are more than happy to be working with Animal SOS Sri Lanka, as we feel it is our responsibility as well to contribute towards eradicating rabies from Sri Lanka. It is important that we get involved and assist in any way possible and contribute whatever we can towards eradicating this problem, while also educating the public on related matters.”
