Dipped Products sponsors Hayleys’ ‘Puritas Sath Diyawara’ project

The Hayleys Group of Companies will launch its seventh reverse osmosis (RO) plant today in Parangiyawadiya in the North Central Province. 
The project funded by Dipped Products Limited (DPL) will provide clean drinking water for over 1,250 people in the village. An estimated 56 cases of chronic kidney disease (CKD) have been reported from the village located close to Horowapothana in the North Central Province.  This project initiated under the ‘Puritas Sath Diyawara’ banner, is the key corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiative undertaken by the Hayleys group at a cost of Rs.35 million. To date with this project, a total of six villages have been provided with clean drinking water benefitting over 10,000 people. 
Hayleys Group Chairman and Chief Executive Mohan Pandithage along with the participation of Directors/Group Management Committee Members/Senior Management of the Hayleys group and key government officials will grace the opening of the new plant.
The Puritas Sath Diyawara CSR project aims to reach out to the people of the  North Central and Northern Provinces who are affected by CKD, providing purified water, livelihood development activities, promoting appropriate health and sanitation practices and awareness and knowledge dissemination.
In their commitment towards further enhancing the well-being of the villagers of Parangiyawadiya, DPL will also be laying the foundation for a community library, in conjunction with the launch of the RO plant.
