Fashion Bug, one of Sri Lanka’s leading retail clothing stores with over 16 outlets islandwide, in its series of various corporate social responsibility (CSR) activities recently installed direction boards at Ragama Hospital adding ease and convenience to the public. This is the second social project Fashion Bug carried out at the Ragama Hospital where previously it refurbished the maternity ward at its teaching unit.

“As a corporate responsible citizen, we take pride in giving back to society. We have initiated many projects that go beyond public services to sports, health and education,” said Fashion Bug Deputy General Manager Dr. S.H.M. Faraaz.

He added that health is the most important aspect in any society and economy and both the public and private sectors need to take active participation to promote the wellbeing of the public.

Fashion Bug is no stranger to similar initiatives across the country. From its drinking water project at the Ovitigamuwa Maha Vidyala and donation of a computer lab to Thumbe Kanishta Vidyalaya through to the sponsorship of the Dhammikka Kithulgoda scholarship foundation and various CSR activities at the Maharagama Cancer Hospital, Lady Ridgeway and Colombo Eye Hospital, also including many environmental projects, the company takes different approaches to tackling many social issues faced by the community at large.
