Glitz - the fashion destination – which drives ‘fashion inspired by emotion’, is set to inspire hope amongst children – the ones who have lost inspiration and hope for life at some point – as it officially renewed the agreement with SOS Children’s Village to shoulder the worthy cause of creating a better future for many children.

Glitz, under its contract agreement, will continue to support two families – 20 members in all with 10 each in a family – at the SOS Children’s Village-Piliyandala. This year, Glitz takes yet another step in strengthening its corporate social responsibility (CSR) platform with SOS by taking it to an extended period with a long-term perspective.

SOS Children’s Village was fist established in 1981 in Piliyandala, with a view to providing security, love and stability to children in need by giving them opportunities to grow-up in a loving family amidst lasting relationships. It has now expanded into six centres, broadening its shelter to many more needy children.

Glitz, with a special passion over helping children, started donations to SOS Children’s Village in 2013 for the first time. Showcasing its commitment for CSR, Glitz - through its dedicated fashion line ‘g’ – is aiming to continuously support this project as well as many other CSR projects undertaken by it. This year’s renewal brings Glitz into its third year in contributing to SOS Village.

“SOS Children’s Village is a great concept. They have a fabulous model in place to shape the future of children until they go to the society and settle in. We are fully convinced that our investment with them will definitely pay us off well,” concluded Glitz Assistant Manager Marketing W. Aqaam.
