Unbridled fun befitting children was in ample evidence when Commercial Bank partnered with ITN to celebrate World Children’s Day this year by treating more than 2,000 little Sri Lankans to a special event at the Leisure World theme park in Hanwella on October 1.

Supported by Commercial Bank’s signature children’s savings account ‘Arunalu’, the event comprised of many interactive games and special Arunalu-sponsored activities such as art competitions, darts competitions and games. All participating children were presented with attractive Arunalu branded gifts.
Arunalu, which constantly recognises excellence in education and supports budding young local talent, rewarded the best contestants of the singing competition with cash prizes of Rs.10,000 each. In addition, Arunalu rewarded seven outstanding young people with valuable educational materials during the opening ceremony, for their special inventions, heroic acts and special contributions to society.
Special events were also conducted for the mothers of the children by ‘Anagi’ – the exclusive women’s savings account of Commercial Bank. More than 2,000 ladies who participated in these events received valuable Anagi branded gifts.
This was the fourth consecutive year that Commercial Bank’s Arunalu children’s savings account sponsored this grand annual event.
