’Aswesuma’ must be reviewed - Restructuring must be transparent

 MP Namal Rajapaksa said that the government's 'Aswesuma' welfare benefit scheme must be implemented in a fair and just manner.

"At first glance, it is apparent that there are issues. The programme must be reviewed by the Cabinet of Ministers," he said.

Commenting on the debt restructuring process, Rajapaksa said it should happen in a fair and transparent manner, if it is a requirement for the country.
