I didn’t make irresponsible statements - Objections are for the burden placed on ETF

MP Harsha de Silva said that he did not make irresponsible statements about Sri Lanka’s banking sector signaling a crisis. “As a responsible politician and a former professional in the financial sector, I’m well aware of how damaging such statements can be. I have never made irresponsible statements and will never be making any in future,” he said.

The MP added that his objections were towards the complete burden placed on the Employees’ Provident Fund (EPF) in the government’s debt restructuring process.
