Opposition’s allegations on DDR proven false - President makes a request

President Ranil Wickremesinghe said that the opposition's allegations on the government's Domestic Debt Restructuring (DDR) strategy has been proven false.

He made these comments urging the opposition leader to join the government in addressing the country’s challenges.

President Wickremesinghe also encouraged the opposition to participate in the next presidential election and contribute to rebuilding the country by fulfilling their responsibilities to the people. He expressed his willingness to assign additional duties to the opposition in consultation with the Speaker, if necessary.
