President expected to name new IGP soon: PM

President Ranil Wickremesinghe will name the new IGP within the next 48 hours, Prime Minister Dinesh Gunawardena told Parliament today. The Prime Minister said the Constitutional Council can be called upon by the Speaker at any time to approve the name.
