World Owl Day - Sri Lanka celebrates nocturnal birds with special workshop

A special workshop was organized by the Department of Zoology at the University of Colombo to celebrate World Owl Day on August 4.

President of the Ornithological Society of Sri Lanka Prof. P. Nihal Dayawansa said that the programme was organized to raise awareness of the birds and their contribution to nature.
