Treasury bill yields remained steady at today’s T-bill auction held to reissue Rs.12 billion maturing bills, despite 3-month bill yields edging down by one basis point to 8.66 percent.
The 6-month and 12 month bill yields remained unchanged at 9.80 percent and 10.85 percent, respectively.
The government sold 3-month bills worth of Rs.1.59 billion, 6-month bill worth of Rs.2 billion and 12-month bills worth of 7.1 billion.
The Central Bank cut policy rates by 50 basis points in May to spur growth.
