PJ Group to create US $ 100 m mega project in Passekudah

A short 15 minutes away from the Luxury Passekudah Resort with over a dozen new hotels opening, an exciting new project takes root.

P J Group Chairman Prasanna W Jayewardene is in the process of completing plans for an integrated mega project estimated at US $ 100 million to encompass golf, recreation, hotels and housing on 250 acres of land.     



The land is being the purchased. Approvals are being sought and the architect for the overall project design Mano Ponniah has been appointed. He has been associated with both Aitken Spence and John Keels in the Maldives and Anilana’s Hotels, which are now in various stages of completion in Sri Lanka. Design of the golf course will be carried out by golf course professionals with an international brand names such as Tiger Woods. Completion target of the PJ Group for this first project in the east coast is 2016.

The PJ Group founded in 1981 by Prasanna W. Jayewardene has pioneered fast food, specialty restaurants, hotel management, departmental stores, boutique hotels and organic agro tourism.
