Toyota Lanka (Private) Limited, a 100% subsidiary of Toyota Tsusho Corporation, Japan, unveiled its new state-of-the-art flagship showroom at a glittering and glamourous event at its new location in Ratmalana last week. Gracing this occasion as Chief Guest was the Senior Advisor to the President and Minister of Economic Development, Basil Rajapaksa along with the Ambassador for Japan in Sri Lanka, Nobuhiro Hobo, Koji Nagata, General Manager of Toyota Motor Corporation and Shiro Irikawa, General Manager of Toyota Tsusho Corporation along with other high profile dignitaries from Toyota Tsusho Corporation Japan and Sri Lanka.
The event commenced with the unveiling of the new corporate video documentary of Toyota Lanka followed by a unique video mapping on the building drawing attention to the new showroom, Toyota Lanka Ratmalana. The guests were then taken on an exploratory tour of the vehicle sales showroom, general service area and genuine parts warehouse areas after which the Toyota Lanka Ratmalana staff welcomed the guests at the car ramp which led to the massive roof top parking area built to accommodate over 80 vehicles.
This showroom has been designed to give the customer convenience in a world-class ambience along with personalized interaction intended to make the entire buying and after sales experience unforgettable. The facility will feature a functional and differentiated space for brand new vehicle displays complete with a state-of-the-art delivery area, a large customer lounge with wi-fi, and VIP meeting facilities.
Speaking at the unveiling, Toyota Lanka Managing Director Yoshiaki Kato said, “This new facility, conveniently located in Ratmalana will provide our customers with Toyota vehicle sales, Toyota genuine parts and the Toyota quality of service. Toyota - a technological perfection which is renowned for its quality, durability, and reliability, that is taken care of the way it is built and that’s exactly what we do with Toyota genuine parts and Toyota quality service along with an unparalleled after sales service.”
Also addressing the guests at the event, Chief Operating Officer Manohara Atukorala said, “Toyota cars deserve only the best. The Toyota genuine parts are designed to keep your car running healthy for years to come as they undergo meticulous quality testing and continuous product and process improvement, each guarantee bringing priceless peace-of-mind.”
Ratmalana Branch Senior Manager Niranjan de Silva stated, “The Toyota quality service centre in Ratmalana is comprised of a new breed of highly trained professionals on par with Toyota’s professional standards and latest technology. From periodic maintenance to running repairs, paint works to vehicle repair needs (from major damage to minor touch ups), our workshop is dedicated to ensure global standard vehicle care is perfected in Sri Lanka.
Coinciding with Toyota’s presence in Ratmalana, the company has taken on the onus of sustainable development in the local community contributing to significant projects involving the Mt Lavinia Police and the Dehiwela - Mt Lavinia Municipal Council. Scholarships for automobile education were offered for two leading automotive technical training institutes that focus of vocational training for the next generation of leaders in automobile technology.
