Experienced banker Aaron Russell-Davison joins Amãna Bank board

Aaron Russell-Davison, a veteran banker with over 20 years of experience, has been appointed to the board of directors of Amana Bank in the capacity of an Independent Non-Executive Director.


Russell-Davison’s experience across banking and financial institutions includes capital markets, bond and loan syndication, sales, trading, portfolio management and brokerage, amongst other senior banking positions across various countries.


Most recently, his tenure at Standard Chartered Bank, Singapore, spanned over six years at the most senior levels of capital markets, as the global head of debt capital markets. He also has served as Director, Capital Markets in prominent global institutions such as Credit Suisse, Hong Kong, Standard Bank of South Africa, Hong Kong and Hypo-Vereins Bank, London.


In addition, he has held board positions as an Independent Non-Executive Director of leading financial institutions, whilst serving in the capacity of Chairman - Group Risk Committee and as a member in the Group Audit, Remuneration and Related Party Committees. 


Russell-Davison has worked across multiple geographies and cultures with a strong Asian aspect and holds a Bachelor of Arts (Asian History and Politics) from the University of Western Australia.


Commenting on his appointment to the Amãna Bank board, the bank’s Chairman Osman Kassim said, “We are honoured to have an individual of Aaron’s calibre on our board. He brings in a wealth of experience and his exposure to the various fields of banking will be of great benefit for the bank.”
