HDFC Bank holds 36th AGM

HDFC Bank hosted its 36th Annual General Meeting (AGM) on September 17, 2021, at the bank’s head office on a virtual platform, in adherence to the government regulations and healthcare best practices to support prevent spread of COVID-19.


The bank’s Chairperson Wasanthi Manchnayake, CEO/GM Palitha Gamage and board members Dr. S. Neavis Morais, P.A.S. Athula Kumara, D.M.A.K. Dasanayaka, L.E. Susantha Silva, Senior Professor A. Jayamaha, M.P.D.U.K. Mapa Pathirana and W.M. Ananda were present at the meeting.


The bank presented the annual report and audited financial statements for the financial year ended on December 31, 2020. At the meeting, the shareholders approved for a final dividend of cents 25 per share for the financial year 2020.


HDFC Bank recorded a pre-tax profit of Rs.1381 million in 2020, in comparison to the pre-tax profit of Rs.1,244 million in 2019, reflecting a 11 percent growth.


HDFC Bank’s core purpose is to provide financial solutions to enable sustainable housing and living standards with the support of 39 branches across the country. While keeping housing as its core business, the bank continuously recognised the needs of the SME sector as well.
