HNB Assurance produces extraordinary 194 MDRT qualifiers

HNB Assurance PLC (HNBA) produced a total of 194 Million Dollar Round Table (MDRT) qualifiers in 2022. 
Further, Malindika Priyadarshini had the honour of being the 1st to achieve the Lifetime MDRT Status from HNBA. Amongst this year’s MDRT qualifiers are 4 distinguished members who qualified for Top of the Table (TOT) status, while 12 members of the HNBA Sales Force had the honour of laying claim to the Coat of the Table (COT) status. 
MDRT, the premier association of financial professionals, which was formed in 1927, is an independent association with a global count of over 72,000 professionals affiliated to insurance and financial services in over 500 companies, where membership is exclusively to those that surpass the given threshold.

Sharing his thoughts, Chief Executive Officer of HNBA, Lasitha Wimalaratne said, “For any insurance sales professional, achieving MDRT status is undoubtedly the single most potent driver that motivates them to go above and beyond in terms of their sales. In 2022, HNBA has been able to produce 194 MDRT qualifiers surpassing the 164 that the company produced a year earlier; and what’s important to note is that the company has been successfully driving its sales professionals to progress towards this prestigious achievement.”

Sharing his views, AGM / Head of Sales Training and Development, Shiran Fernando said, “Both channels namely the Agency Channel and the Partnership Channel have done extremely well in terms of producing 83 and 111 MDRT qualifiers respectively. 

Our sales teams worked smart; we followed a clear plan that was focused towards achieving the overall objectives of the firm. This is a collective effort of our sales professionals, the Distribution Management, Bancassurance as well as the T&D teams which culminated is this dazzling achievement that has all so inspired in elated”.
