HNBA launches Liya Harasara fourth edition

HNB Assurance PLC., recently announced the launch of Liya Harasara from 8th March to 8th April to coincide with International Women’s Day that was commemorated on the 8th of March. 


This is the fourth consecutive year that the company is conducting this program whereby women could avail themselves of a free year’s life cover of up to Rs. 1 million. 


Prasantha Fernando, Chief Operating Officer of HNB Assurance PLC said; “The woman of today is independent, confident and self reliant, and is able to match and even out perform their male counterparts in many a sphere. Today’s woman plays a pivotal role in society. 


“Apart from being the caregiver to the family unit, economic realities have necessitated that in most cases they also become co-bread winners working hand in hand with their spouses to uplift the living standards of the family. It is our view that womanhood should be celebrated, and equal opportunity is afforded to women.  It is in this backdrop that we developed the Liya Harasara program as a gesture of celebration and gratitude and have been able to take it from strength to strength over the last four years and this year is bigger and better than before”.


Commenting on the other features of this offer Chief Business Officer of HNB Assurance PLC., Ivan Nicholas said “this year we have been able to make a very unique proposition for policies that carry a hospitalization cover whereby women are offered a hospitalization benefit by way of a payment of up to Rs. 10,000 per day limited to 3 days per annum for pregnancy related ailments during the period that the policy is in force. Further, we are very grateful to Singer Sri Lanka Limited and Vision Care Optical Services (Pvt.) Limited for offering special discounts on the products offered by them to our policy holders”. 


Apart from the offers mentioned above ladies who obtain motor insurance policies from HNB General Insurance are entitled to a free personal accident cover up to Rs. 500,000. Further ladies who obtain life insurance policies during this period could also avail themselves of the of 10 percent offered by Vision Care for their purchases of spectacles, sun glasses or hearing aid devices, while Singer on the other hand is offering a 10 percent discount for all Singer and Sisil branded products as well as a 7.5 percent discount on all other brands purchased from Singer Plus Branches located island wide.
