NDB appoints Dimuth and Asalanka as Brand Ambassadors

National Development Bank PLC announced its partnership with Sri Lanka Test Cricket Captain Dimuth Karunaratne and T20 vice-Captain Charith Asalanka as Brand ambassadors for the year 2022. The contract signing with these two sports personalities took place recently in the presence of NDB Bank CEO Dimantha Seneviratne and Senior Vice President SanjayaPerera.


During the signing ceremony, NDB Bank’s CEO thanked Dimuth Karunaratne for his continued support towards the NDB Brand and also congratulated Charith Asalanka on his recent appointment as vice-captain of the T20 team for the Sri Lanka tour of Australia earlier this year. Karunaratne has made an impact in Test cricket, earning selection in the ICC’s Test Team of the Year 2021, and was recently nominated for ICC Test Player of the Year. He has been associated with NDB Bank as its brand ambassador for the past two years and has enjoyed a close relationship in supporting all of the bank’s endeavors.


In line with its future focused approach, the Bank also took steps to appoint Charith Asalanka, an upcoming cricketer who represents the future of Sri Lankan Cricket, as its brand ambassador from this year. Asalanka’s combination of stability, passion and innovation which he brings to his game goes well with the values NDB stands for as well. The association is expected to carry throughout the calendar year 2022 including the T20 world cup and will cover the brand ambassadors’ involvement with the different digital innovation led initiatives of the bank.
