Russell De Mel appointed to NTB board

Senior Banker and former National Development Bank PLC (NDB) CEO Russell De Mel has been appointed as Non Executive Director of the Nations Trust Bank PLC (NTB).

The appointment comes into effect from yesterday.  NTB said the banking regulator Central Bank had approved the appointment. 

De Mel is a professional accountant with over 20 years experience in development banking including project financing, SME financing and merchant banking and around 9 years of experience in commercial banking and investment banking.

He is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants of UK, Chartered Global Management Accountant and Fellow of the Certified Management Accountant of Sri Lanka.
De Mel currently serves on the boards of TAL Lanka Hotels PLC, EAP Holdings (Pvt) Ltd, EAP Broadcasting Ltd, EAP Films and Theatres Ltd and Singer Finance Lanka PLC.
