120 MW from Uma Oya project will be added to national grid by June: Minister

After construction of the Uma Oya project is completed, it will add 120 MW of hydro power to the National Grid by June 2023, Power and Energy Minister Kanchana Wijesekera said.   

He said this during a meeting with officials of Farab Construction Engineering Company at the ministry.   The construction of the project will be completed by the end of April.
