17-year-old female student electrocuted in Piliyandala

A 17-year-old schoolgirl had died of electrocution after cutting the plug of the wire connected to the sewing motor and trying to get an electrical connection in an unsafe manner at her house in Piliyandala.   

The deceased identified as Nishani Piumika, a student of Nugegoda Mahamaya Girls’ College, was scheduled to sit for the GCE A/L Examination in 2025.   
The post-mortem examination of the dead student was to be done at the Kalubowila Teaching Hospital
