Four-year-old Sivanathan Abhilash, who went missing on Monday (17) evening in the Duncan Estate within the Norwood Police area, was found yesterday in a forest within the same estate, Police said.

The child, a resident of Nallathanniya in the Laxapana area, had ventured into the nearby forest and got stranded, unable to find his way back home. Following an extensive search operation conducted by the Norwood Police since Monday, the child was located in a drain within a small forest on top of a mountain last morning.

The child was provided with food and drink by the Norwood Police before being taken to the Dick-Oya Primary Hospital for further examination.
